As a United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) representative, I’ve had the privilege of bringing my passions and skills to ongoing work in and around the United Nations since 2007. Along with consultation and facilitation, my UN presentations have included the UN High Level Political Forum, UN Commission on the Status of Women, UN NGO Conference, and UN Commission on Social Development.
I started this work in 1998 as the lead drafts person on The People’s Communication Charter, for the Hague, on behalf of non-profit organization, Cultural Environment Movement. I read documentation from many world governments on the effect of media on culture and on policies and practices to address it. At the same time, I was taking deep dives into what leadership meant, how culture impacts everything else, and into how we could create a more compassionate and just world. In 2007, I felt called to support leadership and cultural transformation at the United Nations, made a few phone calls, and the fun began!

What if we said that first all kids go to bed safe, fed and warm and then we consider bombs, roads, stuff, legalities and policy? The international dialog is upscripting from a competing and grabbing vernacular to a call for a world that cares and shares.
My doctoral dissertation, Noble Seed/Royal Soil: The Care and Feeding of the Royal Person in 21st Century America asks:
“If every sentient being is a Noble Seed, how do we create the Royal cultural and personal Soil to bring each and every seed to its fullest fruition?”
